#34 Nismo 400R was For Sale somewhere in the UK almost a few years ago and when they show up on the Radar it is One of the Rarest of the Rare. These Rare Beasts are special edition R33’s released on November 3, 1997 and badged the 400R, with the R obviously standing for Racing.
All the Development from Concept to Build was by NISMO, it has a bored and stroked RB26DETT engine, aka the RBX-GT2, soley was engineered and produced by REINIK. This Heart of the Beast has a stroke crankshaft, forged pistons, upgraded rods, polished ports, high lift camshafts, upgraded oil system, larger exhaust manifolds and higher output turbochargers. NISMO also put in a better then stock exhaust, a twin-plate clutch, and intercooler system. NISMO Exclusive Brakes and Pads to stop it and a Unique Aero Package, which included beefier fenders, side skirts, a new rear and front bumper with air scoops, and a redesigned front hood and rear wing made of carbon fiber. The 400R was also fitted with 18×10 Nismo LM-GT1s. The car made 400 hp on tap and 347 tq which in turn reacehed a top speed of over 186 mph and scooted to 0-60 in 4.0 seconds. NISMO originally wanted to make a 100 units of the 400R, but somehow only managed to make 44. Rumor has it that it was due to the last of the R33’s Production run in 1998.
