The Honda Powered AE86 Coupe. Owned, Built, and Driven by Texas Native Joshua Garcia. A Dream come true, and a car that has to be seen in person to understand the capacity of what this car brings to the table. Granted it was also this cars Debut at Super Lap Battle USA COTA 2019. If you've been following me personally, you already know that I once had a Honda S2000, and have owned 5 different AE86's with One K24 powered Coupe still in my possession that I have been working on for years. (Another Story, another Day) But this is not about me, but my friend Joshua of Voodoo Racing, who I've been following since GTA Road Atlanta 2014! Now after 5 years I finally get to see him again back on track in his latest F22C powered Toyota Corolla AE86. Time Attack Is where it’s at -If you haven’t been or know much about Time Attack, I strongly encourage you to come through at a Global Time Attack event. Unlike other forms of racing, I still find Time Attack the closest thing to grassroots builds that were once in someone’s mind and then executed on a car to race. There is no one sided build here, or marquee, I mean you can sway that way like some. Lol. But if you like Honda’s or Chevys, LS swapped BMW’s and just much more, you’ll notice it all here. What I love most about this sport is the ingenuity of what goes on with the cars. Ahead of schedule which is unusual, but for this event I wanted to make sure I got everyone taken care of, so I borrowed some faster gear that I once owned before to help me in the photography department and deliver with no issues. Thanks to Jason and the GTA Staff for making it possible for me to come across the US and join this East Coast Party. Arriving to this facility first hand was not what I expected, well of course that’s because I’ve never been to New Jersey Motorsports Park before, and I was thinking about this place being small and honestly I was picturing a totally different track. But to my surprise, it far exceeded my expectations as a photographer, visitor, and a new fan. Race Cars Always – Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach 2018

This year has been nothing but great. Every event so far, has been fast, cool, or just Race Cars Always. After spectating with a friend on Friday for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, I thought I wouldn’t have the itch to shoot some cars. Well it’s been years since I’ve taken it to the grandstands and become part of the Spectators Section, and luckily for me I had a friend that was willing to roll along with me. So the food is still expensive as hell, the drinks too, but the walking around and checking out booths and cars felt much different. I didn’t have my camera with me to capture some moments, or make small talk to fellow photogs. I just took it in as I should, saw familiar faces but didn’t interact much. Legendary in it’s own right, nothing is as exciting for me to start the racing season with some good ol Drag Racing. The import kind of Import Face-Off, that has been bringing back the Import Drag Racing a place to race, and a spot in the Motorsports World. Sure it’s not as big as the Imports vs. Domestics at the end of year or March Meet that falls after, but Cliff of IFO and the partners like Mike from the Foat, and Nick of Ososik have been making IFO a legendary series for some time now. With over 40 plus events a year around the USA, they have been giving racers a place to go down the quarter mile for the past 16 years and have succeeded as now the #1 Import Drag Racing Series in the US!  […]
