I mean you can call it whatever you want. Luck, amount of practice, horsepower changes, bumper, etc.. We can keep going on and on, on what it took to make a 2012 Honda Civic do a 01:37.308 at the infamous Buttonwillow Raceway Track #CW13. But we may never know, and for arguments sake it would be to much information to fill this story here, and probably go off of the chart in the wrong way. As always I want to keep it short with highlights and more photos for all of you to see. But yes it is true and it’s been 12 days since then that William Au-Yeung hailing from Canada who would make the trek down to Global Time Attack Round 1 and wow the World with what was unheard of, or not even close to being thought of years ago for a Front Wheel Drive Honda Civic to completely smash the Overall Lap Record at a Track that has been used to staple the fastest and baddest Time Attack Cars in North America.  […]

I wish it didn’t have to end. The Time Attack season comes to a close, as the Global Time Attack Super Lap Battle finishes off the year with a very memorable one. Days before this 2 day event at the ever popular Buttonwillow Raceway in the middle of nowhere. I had some personal matters that took me off path, a break-up, and more financial issues that brought me down bad, I almost didn’t have the heart to go, I ended up selling more of my camera equipment and car parts that I could buy again in the future. But I know I needed to be there, I had to move on and get taken back to what I love about this sport so much. So I grabbed my only camera left, an old trusted 5D MK2, with 2 lenses and headed out.  […]

Just Time Attack – Global Time Attack x Super Lap Battle 2016

What a perfect way to end a season. Although there are several other track events and days still left before the actual year ends. Global Time Attack’s Super Lap Battle is the finale for me. Through all the years from a spectator, to a visitor, then a photographer, and pretty soon a competitor. The Super Lap Battle 2-day event is the icing on the cake for a lot of drivers and teams. Including myself, and I can go on and on, on how great this event is. But I don’t want to bore you with that. Lol. Coming from all over the USA, including Canada, and sometimes from other countries, it is the Time Attack Championship Finals, this is Super Lap Battle!  […]

GTA x SLB 2015 – The Gateway Drug to Breaking Records

Not for the fame, but for that time. The one set of numbers that Time Attack Drivers have been working on all year, or for some their whole lives. Either it be an addiction or straight lunacy, Time Attack continues to be a Hot thing right now. I mean, who can blame people for not loving these cars, from the technical things on what works and doesn’t to the beautiful aesthetics of the aero. It’s all eye candy, and every year in our industry, there are always new cars, and new products. While some go with these changes, there are those who practice and rack up seat time rather than change anything. […]

A day late but could’ve been worse – Global Time Attack Road Atlanta 2015

The feeling of knowing you’ll be late to an event kinda sucks, but knowing it is one of your favorite events of the year could’ve been a catastrophe. Luckily, as fate interferes with reality, I somehow managed to get to Day 2 of Round 1 in the Global Time Attack Pro Championship x Road Atlanta. What I had planned for this event and Formula D was totally different from what I ended up with, knowing that more teams and cars were going to make it at this event I was overly excited to see it all. I wanted to capture new cars, teams, and the shenanigans. I mean really wanted to live this one up, I even had plans to visit this dope BBQ spot my friend Kyle Lewis aka Brophoto introduced me to last year. But as all good things thought of or planned, sometimes it turns out a whole other way. […]
