Time Attack is where it’s at -Global Time Attack Finals Super Lap Battle 2018

Time Attack Is where it’s at -If you haven’t been or know much about Time Attack, I strongly encourage you to come through at a Global Time Attack event. Unlike other forms of racing, I still find Time Attack the closest thing to grassroots builds that were once in someone’s mind and then executed on a car to race. There is no one sided build here, or marquee, I mean you can sway that way like some. Lol. But if you like Honda’s or Chevys, LS swapped BMW’s and just much more, you’ll notice it all here. What I love most about this sport is the ingenuity of what goes on with the cars. Sure there is the common name branding and components you’ll find on most other race cars especially from other forms of Motorsports. […]

I wish it didn’t have to end. The Time Attack season comes to a close, as the Global Time Attack Super Lap Battle finishes off the year with a very memorable one. Days before this 2 day event at the ever popular Buttonwillow Raceway in the middle of nowhere. I had some personal matters that took me off path, a break-up, and more financial issues that brought me down bad, I almost didn’t have the heart to go, I ended up selling more of my camera equipment and car parts that I could buy again in the future. But I know I needed to be there, I had to move on and get taken back to what I love about this sport so much. So I grabbed my only camera left, an old trusted 5D MK2, with 2 lenses and headed out.  […]

Times Are Changing – World Time Attack Challenge 2017

My second time back at the World Time Attack Challenge held in Sydney Australia, was nothing short of amazing. As 2017 rolled out in the beginning of the year, the Time Attack events worldwide, including home base USA was already big. Knowing that cars were being built, changed, or just getting out there chasing records, it was surely a great year. Fast forward to my decision to leave for #wtac again was hard since many major events around the same date and the following weeks would take place. So the budget was only good for one event, and after evaluating the choices I jumped on the plane and headed down under to join the buzz again that makes the World Time Attack Challenge that Great.  […]

Times Are Changing – Global Time Attack x Motor Massive 2017

With the growth in Time Attack, the other parts of the motoring world has responded. Leading premier company Global Time Attack teamed up again with Motor Mavens/86 Fest to create the first ever Motor Massive. Car Show checked, Vendor Row checked, Auto-X checked, and Time Attack Hell yeah! The chosen facility was none other than Auto Club Speedway in Fontucky (Fontana) California. Home to many races, and events, this one surely didn’t disappoint as it filled up that fast with people and cars from the parking lots to the garage pits. This year we didn’t do a booth, since time and proper product I would have wouldn’t be available on time. But we did manage to make 60 86 Fest x Motolyric Shirts just in time to be sold at the Motor Massive Booths. To our luck all 60 were gone in 6 hours. But that’s another story for another day.  […]

Big Willow RD3 – Global Time Attack 2017

The expectations were high for me, as days ago a post on the GTA Facebook Group page was stated Roy Narvaez saying he will make it rain with a $10k stack of hundreds if he podiums, but only if he doesn’t get sprayed on with Champagne. Pretty easy to do right, and with people knowing Roy as the person he is, and a very giving guy, I figured yeah he would probably do it. Right away thoughts in my mind of how badly I wanted to get the Motolyric Race Car going these past months, I knew this could be my ticket on some free money. From the night before, till my drive up to Willow Springs Raceway I could smell the cash and wondering where, and how am I gonna pull this off. Making sure I keep an eye on him and be prepared to grab as many 100’s I can when it goes down. But first I had to take care of business and capture the fast cars attending.  […]

FWD Take Over -Global Time Attack Road Atlanta 2017

For the first time at a Global Time Attack event a fwd not only breaks the long standing record, but tops it off by clenching the fastest overall time. Every year at Road Atlanta it seems to change between who to look out for or what to expect. No matter how many times I’ve tried, my predictions never match the results. With my mind set at the usual Unlimited AWD class taking the best time of the day, I search the list for the players. Seeing Brian Faessler return with his Paul’s Automotive Engineering Ford Mustang and the only Pro/Comp entrant, he was extremely fast last year but just got edged out by last year’s winner Jeff Westhphal driving the hard to beat GST Motorsports Subaru Impreza and LYFE Motorsports Nissan GTR driven by Cole Powelson. So off the bat, I figured if it wasn’t going to be Rick MacPherson with his DBW Motorsports GTR or Tony Szirka and his UMS Tuning EVO, or  just maybe one of the Canadians with their oh so powerful Honda’s might do it. But if I placed a bet as if it where a Vegas sports book I would have lost for sure.  […]
