2 Month Hiatus

It’s been 2 months since the last time we posted anything up in our main site. Due to certain events falling out of our reach and doing more in terms of our Online Store, we have kinda shifted our focus more on our Apparel lately. The Online Store motolyric.bigcartel.com has been seeing a lot of traffic and sales with our merchandise, and with more collaborations recently along with new collaborations coming, it has been extremely busy. With that I have also personally delve back into the Off-Road Scene lately which has kinda given me a lot to work with. But not to worry, because Motolyric is not going anywhere, and we will still be covering key Racing Events in Time Attack, Drag Racing, and other events in relations. For the remainder of the year, I plan to cover and document the Last 2 GTA Events, especially Global Time Attack Super Lap Battle, Formula Drift Irwindale, SEMA or Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals is still a debate. But I will finish off the Motorsports Season in 2018 in Vegas with Import Face-Off. […]

FWD Take Over -Global Time Attack Road Atlanta 2017

For the first time at a Global Time Attack event a fwd not only breaks the long standing record, but tops it off by clenching the fastest overall time. Every year at Road Atlanta it seems to change between who to look out for or what to expect. No matter how many times I’ve tried, my predictions never match the results. With my mind set at the usual Unlimited AWD class taking the best time of the day, I search the list for the players. Seeing Brian Faessler return with his Paul’s Automotive Engineering Ford Mustang and the only Pro/Comp entrant, he was extremely fast last year but just got edged out by last year’s winner Jeff Westhphal driving the hard to beat GST Motorsports Subaru Impreza and LYFE Motorsports Nissan GTR driven by Cole Powelson. So off the bat, I figured if it wasn’t going to be Rick MacPherson with his DBW Motorsports GTR or Tony Szirka and his UMS Tuning EVO, or  just maybe one of the Canadians with their oh so powerful Honda’s might do it. Another year, another season. Formula D brings it down to the Streets of Long Beach again for 2016. Watered down from the heavens above, Friday started out really wet. Since 2007 I’ve been attending Formula D events, and only Road Atlanta, and a few others I felt the same rain experience during an event. But what made this one much more interesting is that the skill level of the drivers had to be on par. Round 1 in the streets of Long Beach yet again. For me this is my 7th year covering the Formula Drift Series and what a kick-off for 2015 it was. The crowds were massive at yet another sold-out event, and I don’t know if it was the stories that built up to the first event, or could it have been the fact that there was notable changes in Drivers, Teams, and the Cars? The field seemed short due to the fact that some of our favorites like Taka Aono and his flyin 86, and Danny George with the LS Powerful Miata weren’t there doing battle to name a few. I’m sure I’m missing a few drivers but the show must go on as they say. […]
