The Honda Powered AE86 Coupe. Owned, Built, and Driven by Texas Native Joshua Garcia. A Dream come true, and a car that has to be seen in person to understand the capacity of what this car brings to the table. Granted it was also this cars Debut at Super Lap Battle USA COTA 2019. If you've been following me personally, you already know that I once had a Honda S2000, and have owned 5 different AE86's with One K24 powered Coupe still in my possession that I have been working on for years. (Another Story, another Day) But this is not about me, but my friend Joshua of Voodoo Racing, who I've been following since GTA Road Atlanta 2014! Now after 5 years I finally get to see him again back on track in his latest F22C powered Toyota Corolla AE86. Built with quality, and tasteful mods, from the JSP FabMounts, to the Sparco Seat it has so many good things going for it, that I can only sit behind my lens in awe and appreciate all the hardwork and dedication he's poured into this amazing car. -Rommel #weloveit#racecarsalways #motolyric [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Times Are Changing – World Time Attack Challenge 2017

My second time back at the World Time Attack Challenge held in Sydney Australia, was nothing short of amazing. As 2017 rolled out in the beginning of the year, the Time Attack events worldwide, including home base USA was already big. Knowing that cars were being built, changed, or just getting out there chasing records, it was surely a great year. Fast forward to my decision to leave for #wtac again was hard since many major events around the same date and the following weeks would take place. So the budget was only good for one event, and after evaluating the choices I jumped on the plane and headed down under to join the buzz again that makes the World Time Attack Challenge that Great.  […]

Times Are Changing – Global Time Attack x Motor Massive 2017

With the growth in Time Attack, the other parts of the motoring world has responded. Leading premier company Global Time Attack teamed up again with Motor Mavens/86 Fest to create the first ever Motor Massive. Car Show checked, Vendor Row checked, Auto-X checked, and Time Attack Hell yeah! The chosen facility was none other than Auto Club Speedway in Fontucky (Fontana) California. Home to many races, and events, this one surely didn’t disappoint as it filled up that fast with people and cars from the parking lots to the garage pits. This year we didn’t do a booth, since time and proper product I would have wouldn’t be available on time. But we did manage to make 60 86 Fest x Motolyric Shirts just in time to be sold at the Motor Massive Booths. To our luck all 60 were gone in 6 hours. But that’s another story for another day.  […]

FWD Take Over -Global Time Attack Road Atlanta 2017

By |2019-03-24T22:41:46-07:00May 31st, 2017|Categories: EVENTS, GALLERY, NEWS|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |

For the first time at a Global Time Attack event a fwd not only breaks the long standing record, but tops it off by clenching the fastest overall time. Every year at Road Atlanta it seems to change between who to look out for or what to expect. No matter how many times I’ve tried, my predictions never match the results. With my mind set at the usual Unlimited AWD class taking the best time of the day, I search the list for the players. Seeing Brian Faessler return with his Paul’s Automotive Engineering Ford Mustang and the only Pro/Comp entrant, he was extremely fast last year but just got edged out by last year’s winner Jeff Westhphal driving the hard to beat GST Motorsports Subaru Impreza and LYFE Motorsports Nissan GTR driven by Cole Powelson. So off the bat, I figured if it wasn’t going to be Rick MacPherson with his DBW Motorsports GTR or Tony Szirka and his UMS Tuning EVO, or  just maybe one of the Canadians with their oh so powerful Honda’s might do it. But if I placed a bet as if it where a Vegas sports book I would have lost for sure.  […]

The start of the season for us was kicked off with the much anticipated Boost Festival by Honeywell Garrett. Partnering with Global Time Attack, Just Drift and Drift 101. Held at the Streets of Willow, in Rosamond, California the pits filled in with the usual variety of all makes and models. From the Subies of Snail Performance to some never seen exotics coming out of the wood work. The Time Attack portion filled the day with some fast laps and records. […]

Time Attack Down Under – World Time Attack Challenge 2016

If you’re reading this, you’re probably at SEMA or WCF and I was suppose to go to both of those. But without getting you lost in other stories, I stayed behind to finish this feature, and gallery before the big Global Time Attack x Super Lap Battle coming on November 10-11th. As a huge enthusiast and supporter of Time Attack, I have always wanted to go to the “World Time Attack Challenge” in Australia. For years watching and reading up on the stories, the cars, drivers and the experience magnified me to make it happen. Well, I finally did it in 2016, and it was a tough decision since I also wanted to do those other events I mentioned, and some major ones, like the Formula 1 USGP Race, or the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2017. But being on a budget and trying to do some of these events can be hard, and since Time Attack has taken my heart for the longest, I knew I had to go to WTAC at least once. First and foremost the Australian people along with the New Zealanders I met and made friends with during this trip are some of the coolest people I have ever met. Truly friendly and talked about cars and racing during breaks was never ending.  […]
