Time Attack as we know it, is growing slowly compared to our Aussie, NZ, Japanese, and UK friends. Although we wished we were at the World Time Attack Challenge in Australia, we almost made it, but taking a cheaper route with Malaysian Airlines didn’t sound so good. Anyways, we had to chase down 3 events over the weekend and our first one the ever popular Global Time Attack (GTA) returned to Willow Springs International Raceway, with a few Time Attack Series in the states more cars and teams are jumping in for the fun and glory every month.

This round of Global Time Attack’s  Big Willow event did not disappoint, even though there was a Huge DRIFT Party going down on the other side of Willow Springs Raceway more on that later, you couldn’t help but notice the fully functional Race/Street Cars around the paddock. This event was collaborated with Shift-S3ctor as usual and now Speed District, which offer similar track days but different formulas. As GTA is the Top Tier of Time Attack for the pros and semi-pros, some newcomers I haven’t seen personally like our cover car John Lazorack III’s Super Clean Chrysler Conquest. It’s these kind of cars that really speak loud, this one in particular, although simple had a wide-bodied coat of armor, that was LS-Swapped, functional proper wing and was drenched in a deep red dress it was really cool to see. Another competitor, Frisili Casasola’s Lucky 7 Racing FC RX-7 was back on track chasing down sometimes and getting his car prepped for Super Lap Battle coming soon in November 14th Friday 2014. But the Fastest and Baddest was definitely the GMG Race Cars of legendary driver James Sofronas who made even the fastest T/A cars look slow, his personal Porsche GT2 Cup Car was like a slot car around the track, seeing it doing exhibition runs showed the true Porsche bloodline and Driver skill as one.

As always take a look below at our gallery and we hope to see you all at Super Lap Battle. – Rommel Estrada #motolyric #trackhookers
