Buttonwillow in the wet, it’s happened before and most events shut it down till mother nature stops crying. But when you’re chasing time and you got a full fledged field of anxious racers trying to one up each other, nothing is going to get in the way of a Time Attack event that brings it like no other. To kick-off the 2015 Season, Global Time Attack has teamed up with another Track Brand known as Speed District. Based also out of So-Cal they have been on the rise, growing a simple format that works, guarantees track time, and if no photogs like us out there to capture the racers, no worries because they will provide a photographic CD for you and your car at each event.

Round 1 definitely didn’t disappoint, with the regulars like Roy Narvaez, Will Wattanawongkiri, and Michael Rif to name a few, coming back on track for them has been a waiting game during the little off-season. The Snail Pack rolled in with Travis Barnes, Sally McNulty, and the return of Taylor Wilson, who was sporting some new bad ass Rays Wheels aka Volk ZE40’s. From the Honda crowd, Bobbylane Racing with their interestingly fast Honda Accord piloted by Kevin Courtney made way, several S2000’s like Karla Pestotnik’s and 11 Motors proved their worth, and Spoon Sports showed up with Pro FD Driver Dai Yoshihara behind the wheel of that one fast ass 4-Door Civic. Lucky 7 came back with their Turbo FC, and Jet Black Racing also came out with their White EVO. I’m sure we are missing many more racers that we haven’t mentioned, but that’s why we have the pictures below for you all to see if you didn’t show up.

Usually the rain drizzles a little at the GTA Road Atlanta event which is coming up, but we were fortunate enough to taste a little of it at Buttonwillow. Don’t forget to plan early for our favorite part of the GTA tour, the East GTA Pro Championship in Road Atlanta. If you haven’t been scroll through our gallery from the last 2 seasons we have covered and see for yourself why it’s our favorite. The Southern hospitality, food and fan base is like no other. Still haven’t gotten the chance to race, compete, or test your car out for some seat time? Make sure to go to speeddistrict.com and sign up for their next event so you can take care of that racing itch.  – Rommel Estrada #motolyric #trackhookers #globaltimeattack #speeddistrict #timeattack
