Big Willow RD3 – Global Time Attack 2017

By |June 15th, 2017|

The expectations were high for me, as days ago a post on the GTA Facebook Group page was stated Roy Narvaez saying he will make it rain with a $10k stack of hundreds if he podiums, but only if he doesn’t get sprayed on with Champagne. Pretty easy to do right, and with people knowing Roy as the person he is, and a very giving guy, I figured yeah he would probably do it. Right away thoughts in my mind of how badly I wanted to get the Motolyric Race Car going these past months, I knew this could be my ticket on some free money. From the night before, till my drive up to Willow Springs Raceway I could smell the cash and wondering where, and how am I gonna pull this off. Making sure I keep an eye on him and be prepared to grab as many 100’s I can when it goes down. But first I had to take care of business and capture the fast cars attending.  […]

By |April 26th, 2017|

Before we head out to our favorite event of the year, which is Global Time Attack x Formula D Road Atlanta in the next few weeks. We just finalized the first Motolyric New Era Hat, that will be available for a limited time, and in our store starting “May 1st”. So make sure to cop one before you head out to Road Atlanta, or before they are all gone. But in the next few weeks, we’ll be following up with the cars and drivers through social media on their progress and journey to GTA Road Atlanta.  […]

Boost Festival 2017 – Streets of Willow

By |March 8th, 2017|

The start of the season for us was kicked off with the much anticipated Boost Festival by Honeywell Garrett. Partnering with Global Time Attack, Just Drift and Drift 101. Held at the Streets of Willow, in Rosamond, California the pits filled in with the usual variety of all makes and models. From the Subies of Snail Performance to some never seen exotics coming out of the wood work. The Time Attack portion filled the day with some fast laps and records. […]

Time Attack Down Under – World Time Attack Challenge 2016

By |November 4th, 2016|

If you’re reading this, you’re probably at SEMA or WCF and I was suppose to go to both of those. But without getting you lost in other stories, I stayed behind to finish this feature, and gallery before the big Global Time Attack x Super Lap Battle coming on November 10-11th. As a huge enthusiast and supporter of Time Attack, I have always wanted to go to the “World Time Attack Challenge” in Australia. For years watching and reading up on the stories, the cars, drivers and the experience magnified me to make it happen. Well, I finally did it in 2016, and it was a tough decision since I also wanted to do those other events I mentioned, and some major ones, like the Formula 1 USGP Race, or the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2017. But being on a budget and trying to do some of these events can be hard, and since Time Attack has taken my heart for the longest, I knew I had to go to WTAC at least once. First and foremost the Australian people along with the New Zealanders I met and made friends with during this trip are some of the coolest people I have ever met. Truly friendly and talked about cars and racing during breaks was never ending.  […]

All Fun – Global Time Attack PRO AM RD-3 2016

By |September 14th, 2016|

I mean, that’s what it’s all about right. Having fun and doing what you love. In this case, it’s the Time Attack genre that we have learned to love and live with through the last 5 years we’ve been covering Global Time Attack. A place to race, a way to make friends, and most of all try to break some records for the sake of the sport.

For the final round of GTA Pro-Am, the place was Big Willow at Willow Springs International Raceway. Hosting over 30 plus cars, the weather was holding up and teaming up again with So-Cal’s local Speed District, the event was again another great one. […]

The Speed Ring powered by HKS 2016

By |September 1st, 2016|

The name itself makes you question, what do they mean? I thought about it and figured I’ll look into it later, but surely “The Speed Ring” has a nice tone to it. For me it was a short notice and last minute decision since we were just at the same Auto Club Speedway Fontana venue the weekend before. But with Time Attack mainly in our sights for the past months, we found out that many Global Time Attack Drivers were going to race at this event, along with many others I haven’t seen yet. Even better, the GTA and Formula D staff were collaborating on making this event worth coming attending.  […]
