Well 100 plus temps, and possibly hotter track temps. All I know after I exited the freeway at 6am heading down that familiar stretch of hwy aka Rosamond Blvd. I could already feel the heat. This year has been nothing but great. Every event so far, has been fast, cool, or just Race Cars Always. After spectating with a friend on Friday for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, I thought I wouldn’t have the itch to shoot some cars. Well it’s been years since I’ve taken it to the grandstands and become part of the Spectators Section, and luckily for me I had a friend that was willing to roll along with me. So the food is still expensive as hell, the drinks too, but the walking around and checking out booths and cars felt much different. My second time back at the World Time Attack Challenge held in Sydney Australia, was nothing short of amazing. As 2017 rolled out in the beginning of the year, the Time Attack events worldwide, including home base USA was already big. Knowing that cars were being built, changed, or just getting out there chasing records, it was surely a great year. Fast forward to my decision to leave for #wtac again was hard since many major events around the same date and the following weeks would take place. The expectations were high for me, as days ago a post on the GTA Facebook Group page was stated Roy Narvaez saying he will make it rain with a $10k stack of hundreds if he podiums, but only if he doesn’t get sprayed on with Champagne. Pretty easy to do right, and with people knowing Roy as the person he is, and a very giving guy, I figured yeah he would probably do it. Right away thoughts in my mind of how badly I wanted to get the Motolyric Race Car going these past months, I knew this could be my ticket on some free money. From the night before, till my drive up to Willow Springs Raceway I could smell the cash and wondering where, and how am I gonna pull this off. The start of the season for us was kicked off with the much anticipated Boost Festival by Honeywell Garrett. Partnering with Global Time Attack, Just Drift and Drift 101. Held at the Streets of Willow, in Rosamond, California the pits filled in with the usual variety of all makes and models.
