#76 Fast Honda – WRD Racing Honda Prelude

By |February 22nd, 2019|

Fast Honda -Something you would say when you see a decked out Honda Civic, or Integra. But the other models like the Honda Accord, or Prelude don’t come to mind right off the bat. But make no mistake, there are several out there making wind on the track, and when someone mentions to me about a Time Attack Honda Prelude, the first car that comes to mind is Cory Wells of WRD Racing Race Machine.

Now weight, aftermarket options, and other factors usually are the challenge. But for as long as I’ve been watching Corey through my lens. He’s surely taken this car further every single time. Here it is in the flesh in it’s newest rendition, chasing the clock at the last Super Lap Battle USA COTA 2019. -Rommel #weloveit #racecarsalways #motolyric

Gridlife Track Battle 2019 by Jeremy Adajar

By |February 7th, 2019|

Wind chills made it difficult to shoot but the rain from yesterday and fast-moving cloudy skies provided a nice backdrop for a track that’s typically just clear skies and dry yellow dirt.  I’m all in for photo ops and it being my first Gridlife event, I’m excited to see their time-attack “TrackBattle Brackets” format.  Its Superbowl Sunday and I expected low attendance but its a good turnout.  A nice mix of talent of drivers, track/race cars and media.  Met up with friends and new people; putting a name to a face, car, camera or a social media @account is always fun.  The first half of the event ran like a typical track day, run groups out on track for HPDE and Qualifying.  But for the other half, that’s when everything gets turned up a few notches.  Two cars are released onto an open track in a Tōuge style lead-follow battle. Green flag… gap ’em.  Blue flag, switch positions.  Green flag, close the gap and take the win at the checkered.  Live commentary and post-race interviews over the PA loudspeakers, as well as the crowd cheering, heightened the excitement.  This was a great experience, and I’m a fan of this time-attack format.  I hope we get more of this here in the West Coast.  But for now, check out these photos – Jeremy Adajar

#60 Imperious Rex Racing Honda S2000 – GTA Finals SLB 2018

By |December 1st, 2018|

ImperiousRex Racing / CounterSpace Garage.
S2000 Takeover -Now before we get shots fired at us, like what we posted on IG, hear me out. Lol. This time around at the Global Time Attack Finals 2018. We counted over 14 Honda S2000’s, and possibly more that was just there from the spectator crowd. Now in 2017 we had over 12 Mazda Miata’s competing and an X amount of S2000’s. That’s what I meant! Nothing against Miata’s and for the fact that 2 Miata’s Won 2 of their classes out beating the S2000 crowd, means I might have to come out of retirement. Jk. Lol. As a previous S2000 owner I just happen to have a shitload of Honda S2000 friends as far back as 2002, and granted till now, a lot of them still compete! But without getting out of line here, I gotta say one thing about Ted’s AP2, this thing is straight gorgeous, and I’m not being bias, if you take your time to inspect this car and the details, you’d be hard pressed to see what I’m talking about. From the Real Voltex Kit to the Volk CE28’s, there’s just a good combination of Quality Functional Components on this car that make me want another one so bad. #motolyric

#96 Can Jam Motorsports Subaru WRX STI – GTA Finals SLB 2018

By |November 25th, 2018|

1st Place Unlimited AWD – 01:38.281 Richard Boake Racing #96 Subaru WRX STI Can Jam Motorsports The New AWD Record Holder -It’s always interesting seeing a New Race Car, and Team I haven’t seen in person. Although I’ve heard of the car and it’s driver through the Motorsports Channels, but to see it in person and witness history in the making is another story.

The Global Time Attack Finals Super Lap Battle every year has shown me different winners, and different cars. Notably always after the famed SEMA, the GTA Finals aligns well with it. Through the years we’ve seen cars from other countries and other parts of the US come to Race. This year Can Jam came out to chase the record, and to beat it. After an engine replacement over night, and several attempts they didn’t get the Overall Track Record they wanted so badly, but they did get the AWD Record. Will we see more of this Race Car in 2019? I hope so.. #motolyric

End of Summer -Global Time Attack Pro-Am RD3 Buttonwillow 2018

By |September 18th, 2018|

After a few months, we returned to our favorite Race Track Buttonwillow Raceway with Global Time Attack for Round 3 of the Pro-Am Series.

Teaming up again with Speed District, we were able to check out the latest Time Attack Cars in all categories, and some new blood of those that have either came back after a long hiatus sporting the new to me stuff, or fresh into Time Attack type cars.  […]

East Coast Party – Global Time Attack New Jersey MP 2018

By |June 21st, 2018|

Ahead of schedule which is unusual, but for this event I wanted to make sure I got everyone taken care of, so I borrowed some faster gear that I once owned before to help me in the photography department and deliver with no issues. Thanks to Jason and the GTA Staff for making it possible for me to come across the US and join this East Coast Party. Arriving to this facility first hand was not what I expected, well of course that’s because I’ve never been to New Jersey Motorsports Park before, and I was thinking about this place being small and honestly I was picturing a totally different track. But to my surprise, it far exceeded my expectations as a photographer, visitor, and a new fan. I’m sure the drivers might have had similar feelings, since from what I gathered, they have said the track was smooth, nice and a lot of fun.  […]
