#310 Novak Racing Honda Civic EK9 – GTA Finals SLB 2018

K Powered and built with class. Everything I see in Novak Racing's Honda Civic is truly tasteful. From the obvious clean color choice, and RAYS Wheel TE37's the more you take your time to check out this piece of art. At first glance, you comb the engine bay, passing by the JRZ Suspension, and Kraftwerks Supercharger System. Then you start to take notice of the body panels, stitch welds throughout the chassis, and the similar hardware you'd find on a Top Level IMSA Race Car. But you also notice, the simplicity of the parts chosen. Still no crazy livery, no insane aero or over exaggerated body fixtures. It's got one Recaro Seat, in a intricate Roll Cage system, acrylic front side windows, and just a lot of awe. Lol. Nevertheless it was nice to capture it on track, driven by Pro Driver Alex Peng of Momofoolio Racing, this car popped it's cherry at the Global Time Attack Finals SLB with a 1st Place Win in FWD Unlimited taking down the Buttonwillow Raceway Park#CW13 with a 01:51.435 Lap Time.. #motolyric

I mean you can call it whatever you want. Luck, amount of practice, horsepower changes, bumper, etc.. We can keep going on and on, on what it took to make a 2012 Honda Civic do a 01:37.308 at the infamous Buttonwillow Raceway Track #CW13. But we may never know, and for arguments sake it would be to much information to fill this story here, and probably go off of the chart in the wrong way. As always I want to keep it short with highlights and more photos for all of you to see. But yes it is true and it’s been 12 days since then that William Au-Yeung hailing from Canada who would make the trek down to Global Time Attack Round 1 and wow the World with what was unheard of, or not even close to being thought of years ago for a Front Wheel Drive Honda Civic to completely smash the Overall Lap Record at a Track that has been used to staple the fastest and baddest Time Attack Cars in North America.  […]

RCO #001 – James Ingram’s EF Track Machine

We’ve used the term RCO (Race Cars Only) many times through the years and it defines how we mostly feel when we want to see cars. Although we hardly attend shows, since we get pretty busy with the track day events only. We do get an opportunity to attend one or even the local car meet which is rare. But it can be a show or an event, once we are there, we scout the parking lots, the pits and the track. Looking for that car, the one that’s built around the racing definition term we use. If we get lucky and find one. We start to take a closer look and dig deeper to see if it does do what it struts. […]

What does it take to bring crowds, to bring racers, and to bring newcomers in all areas. Well Import Face-Off has proven it again in the High Stakes City known as Las Vegas, holding it down in a track known for its bad winds around this time of the year. No one expected it to be close to perfect, but upon entrance on Sunday morning the Car Show attendees were already rolling in strong, from the likes of Team Hybrid, and local crew Street Symphony if you where a Show Car type you could see it all. Also, with many new and past show cars  filling up the lot, in the pits some never been seen cars like a mean looking VW Drag Bug, and hailing from as far north as Washington was the ETS GTR from English Racing.
