Race Cars Always – Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach 2018

By |April 30th, 2018|

This year has been nothing but great. Every event so far, has been fast, cool, or just Race Cars Always. After spectating with a friend on Friday for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, I thought I wouldn’t have the itch to shoot some cars. Well it’s been years since I’ve taken it to the grandstands and become part of the Spectators Section, and luckily for me I had a friend that was willing to roll along with me. So the food is still expensive as hell, the drinks too, but the walking around and checking out booths and cars felt much different. I didn’t have my camera with me to capture some moments, or make small talk to fellow photogs. I just took it in as I should, saw familiar faces but didn’t interact much. Just as I remembered back years ago of just being a fan of the sport.  […]

Back at Buttonwillow -Global Time Attack PRO AM RD-2 2017

By |April 26th, 2017|

Before we head out to our favorite event of the year, which is Global Time Attack x Formula D Road Atlanta in the next few weeks. We just finalized the first Motolyric New Era Hat, that will be available for a limited time, and in our store starting “May 1st”. So make sure to cop one before you head out to Road Atlanta, or before they are all gone. But in the next few weeks, we’ll be following up with the cars and drivers through social media on their progress and journey to GTA Road Atlanta.  […]

Time Attack Down Under – World Time Attack Challenge 2016

By |November 4th, 2016|

If you’re reading this, you’re probably at SEMA or WCF and I was suppose to go to both of those. But without getting you lost in other stories, I stayed behind to finish this feature, and gallery before the big Global Time Attack x Super Lap Battle coming on November 10-11th. As a huge enthusiast and supporter of Time Attack, I have always wanted to go to the “World Time Attack Challenge” in Australia. For years watching and reading up on the stories, the cars, drivers and the experience magnified me to make it happen. Well, I finally did it in 2016, and it was a tough decision since I also wanted to do those other events I mentioned, and some major ones, like the Formula 1 USGP Race, or the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2017. But being on a budget and trying to do some of these events can be hard, and since Time Attack has taken my heart for the longest, I knew I had to go to WTAC at least once. First and foremost the Australian people along with the New Zealanders I met and made friends with during this trip are some of the coolest people I have ever met. Truly friendly and talked about cars and racing during breaks was never ending.  […]

The Final Chapter – Formula D Title Fight 2016

By |October 21st, 2016|

The end of another year, and the beginning of another book that solidifies the pro drift series of Formula Drift. What turned out to be a total different story in the end, when the 2016 championship was going to be decided between last year’s champ Fredric Aasbo and 2 time champ Chris Forsberg, with also a possible Vaughn Gittin Jr. to take it if the cards played in his favor.

But if history has taught us anything, is that Irwindale always changes the game right in front of us, and gives us what we never expected. In the top 32, Forsberg takes it away from Faruk Kugay easily since Kugay was supposedly down on power. […]

Famoso Returns – Import Face-Off Bakersfield, Sep. 2016

By |October 5th, 2016|

With Import Drag Racing finding it’s way to the top, there is still one racing series that is 100% consistent and known to have some of the best cars racing, and competing for that time slip. That series is Import Face-Off, and with sponsored partner M&H Tires backing the series there is no reason for you or anyone out there to not check out what IFO is doing for all the racers. Bringing a place to race, show and sell. IFO has over 45 races all over the country for 2016, and with 11 more left including the 2 that are coming to Fontana, and Las Vegas in December. It is heaven to the Local Street Cred guy, or the seasonal show goer. […]

Hill Climb Heros – Pikes Peak 2016 by Rommel Estrada

By |July 7th, 2016|

Pikes Peak was insanely different and fun. Being part of an event that’s been going on longer than I have been on this earth is something else. Supposedly one of the oldest races in the USA coming in second to the Indy 500. Also possibly one of the hardest places for me to shoot. Pikes Peak has been just as much a challenge for photographers, as it was for anyone attending. Unlike most race tracks I’ve been to, we are talking about a whole mountain here, and one of 53 mountains called the “Fourteeners” which at the peak of Pikes Peak is 14,115 feet.  […]
